"That went well, I think." Charlie said, lifting his shoulder enough to nudge the head that rested on it in contemplative silence. At least, he was assuming it was contemplative, it might just have been asleep, Audley was a tricky guess at times like this.

The slightly hysterical huff of laughter that escaped his companion reassured Charlie that it had indeed been contemplative after all and he ploughed on, determined in that singularly Raffles way, that everything would be just fine.

Even if he had to force it to be using his families peculiar brand of brute force, ignorance and silver tongued charm...

"Well it's not every day you discover your robot kid made himself a robot pet is it...I mean, that's a big day in anyone's book mate and yes, alright, so you had to make some small adjustments to it..."
"Twelve hours of work..."
"SMALL adjustments to it, but for his first go creating life, I think the kid did alright, really."

The silence stretched comfortably between them as they absently watched J2 skipping about the workshop in hot pursuit of his creation, the giggles and sounds of distant servos working overtime filling the air.

"Yeah..." Audley murmured, heaving an exhausted sigh into Charlie's hoodie clad shoulder even as the pride crept into his voice,
"He really did, didn't he."
"Like father like son." Charlie added with a beaming grin, patting at corduroy clad thigh with consoling affection.


Ahhh bromance <3

i love the one on the right i thought it was real for a minute o-o. today may be the day i become a doll collector :meow: i would love to do what you do it seems like so much fun. i am the person who loves to spend hours working on stuff, creating stuff ( mainly out of paper ) or modifying it : meow:

Reading the little story I could just see it all play out in my mind with the help of the image. Lovely natural posing and I really love the mood behind it. Black and white really adds to it here. :) :heart:
