WHat can I say about Puddle...well, he began when talking to about the odds of my ever prying myself free of the tyranny of the BUNNY plushies that seem to infest my house, and then on one of my usual jaunts around the interwebs, I stumbled across a picture of this COW plushie and just thought it was adorable...so I dug, and found a pattern, and then dug some more, and found that other people had tweaked the pattern and there was a sheep too...and a hippo...and a moose...and the list went on, so I took the cow's body and the hippo's head, heavily tweaked them all into a sort've...HORSE thing...adapted the head for a horn as well as ears, gave it a tail and a little smock...AND LO, A HIPPONICORN WAS BORN.
If anyone else fancies the joy of making your own fantastical beast, the original pattern for the cow is here: [link] Then the person who did the hippo head I adapted is here: [link] Have fun with both of those links since there's a WHOLE bunch of languages in there, I KNOW I DID *snort*
(for the curious, every stitch on him is done by hand and he stands all by himself, at about 10 and a half inches tall)
Sorry, no can do, the pattern is a massive legal grey area since at least 3 people worked on it and two of them don't speak English to ask about sales You can make your own tho
It's UBER cute ♥ !! The tutorial looks also very feasible. Too bad my sister has enough of plushies for my baby niece ;; I'll keep this for another occasion though
Yes, and I often regret the rarity of patterns of casual clothing for my BJD. Granted, one can find some on the net, and books, but they're really a few of them. As I haven't much free time and as they're of quite short durations, when I try to work for my boys, having to adapt patterns or trying to understand how to mount the different pieces together is so time consuming that it's generally "time's up" for my free time (and of course, as I'm a newbie in sewing, it doesn't help having to figure everything out... once every 6 months -___- ;;; ) But I'm not giving up
(can't believe i missed this one before)
Litara says she's gonna commission you to make one of these sometime!! NAME A PRICE! TAKE OUR MONEY! xD
