No, really, it was. EPIC anti-climax, thanks for that BBC *sigh* Still, least the panto villain calmed down a bit.

John is a Dollstown Hue/B&G hybrid.
Sherlock is a Resinsoul Gang.

(The archive creep... returns?)
I enjoyed both series of Sherlock though I can see where you get Moriarty being a piss-poor imitation of John Simm's Master. I think, for the writing anyway, he was played very well. I'm not very happy at Moffat right now because I really dislike what he's doing with Doctor Who (I really liked his run until halfway through the last season) and what he did with Irene in "A Scandal In Belgravia." Still, hopefully the third season will clear it all up.

Since you're a fan of the stories (as am I... my second language is French and I have the 7th volume of a 1967 Paris French edition of Sherlock Holmes) I wonder what you think of the "words" for series three? Rat, Wedding, and Bow. Personally, I think they'll connect to "The Adventure of the Empty House" (Moran as the rat), Irene FINALLY beating Sherlock (with her wedding), and, well, His Last Bow. Just my opinions, though.

As always, I absolutely adore your dolls!

Depressingly, I imagine the third season will basically be 3 episodes of whimpering about that pathetic "fall" and then some half arsed "OMGYAY we're all alive, LETS FIGHT CRIME TOGETHER!" moments to tie it off with. I expect very little from Moffat and yet he continues to disappoint, it'd be impressive if it weren't so painfully predictable. :/

As for the words, I'm never really sure how seriously to take their efforts at adding in canon references tbh, they fuck about so much in the scripts and plotlines, you can never really be entirely sure where they're going with it...which I suppose is good if you've never read the books and are just in it for an evening of tv? I dunno, my internal scathing loathing of anything Moffat touches rather taints any affectionate nods they give canon *snort*

Thank you, it's a lovely thing to hear from people, I'm really glad you like them :)

I really enjoyed it when he did the occasional episode of Doctor Who... but he's kind of bad at doing things in the long run. I think that's why I still like Sherlock, since it's considerably shorter than his now-three seasons of Doctor Who.

As a side note, what do you happen to think of Neil Gaiman? (Particularly of his story "A Study in Emerald," if you've read it)

I must admit I've yet to read the new one because I fear it'll be a bit like the tv show and that would just be hideous :/

AUGH I HAVE RECENTLY FINISHED WATCHING SHERLOCK AND NOW KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.

But didn't John also take his pulse?

Anyway, it's good to know they're safe and away from bad writing with you!

(also augh Moffat why are you still hired by the BBC. his responses to anyone suggesting he's a less than perfect writer are so immature, it's utterly ridiculous.)

(also also I liked Moriarty? I guess it's a good thing you hate tumblr because the Sherlock/Tumblr fandom is convinced that Andrew Scott was teh best Moriarty evar.)

(also also also, have you seen the RDJ/Jude Law films?)

Yeah he took his pulse, from the WRIST, that oh so reliable place to read vital signs from IN A TRAUMA VICTIM, something which John, a trained army doctor with a record of active service in a war zone would be all too aware of. There's a hundred reasons why you can't get a pulse in the wrist at the best of times, in this instance, it fell victim to every schoolboys favoured medical prank, shoving a rubber ball into the armpit to cut off the blood supply to the arm temporarily, thus, no pulse. Hell, they even showed Sherlock in the lab bouncing a damn ball right before the death scene.

I'm going to assume Moffat has some dirt on someone high enough up that he keeps managing to get gigs with the BBC. There is literally no other reason why he's still writing at all. None.

The average Tumblr user has already proven themselves to be an idiot, they can keep the overacting panto villain *eyeroll*

Now...I'm going to preface this by saying I love RDJ, who doesn't?! Seriously, the man is a god! All of that said, he should never, and I mean this with the power of a thousand fiery suns, EVER, have played Sherlock. Those films were just different characters with the Conan Doyle names attached, they're not Sherlock Holmes and they never will be. They made APPPALLING translations of the Holmes characters, but if you view them as just sort've...steampunk action films, quite passable viewing!

Ah, true. I suppose the average viewer doesn't know that, though, and I guess Moffat was relying on that.

Just, I was reading his twitter, and every time someone points out a flaw in his scripts he insults their intelligence. Like what are you, four? I mean the good parts of the Sherlock scripts are probably Gatiss' doing.

Even being a Tumblr user, I honestly can't deny that, touche XD

I suppose if you're an enthusiast of the books, then it's a little different. I've only read The Hound of Baskervilles, and I spent the entire time just feeling bad for Watson, ahaha. Having never read the other books, I can look at the various incarnations of Holmes and Watson without being wary as to how different they'll be from Conan Doyle's characters.

I think this is half his problem as a writer tbh, he relies on his audience not knowing as much as him, but given how little he actually knows, it's not that hard to outsmart his plotlines *snort*

It's very disappointing when you outsmart the writers. It's why I gave up on Glee, and, well, why I don't watch much TV anymore, ahaha. It's a little sad when you think about it, I mean, there are fanfic authors who could write better TV shows.

YES. THANK YOU. YES. Fanfic writers out there have kept me UTTERLY spellbound with intricate, well thought out plotlines that I would never have guessed the ending of before I read it, THEY should be getting paid to write this stuff! :D
